En la Huelga General del 29 de Marzo de
2012, el 15M de Granada organizó un piquete informativo que
recorrería las calles de la ciudad pidiendo solidaridad con la
jornada de huelga.
Carlos y Carmen fueron identificados
aleatoriamente por la policía en ese piquete a la salida de un bar.
Siguiendo la línea de trabajo del 15M, ni se produjeron amenazas en
su interior, ni hubo actitudes violentas, ni se impidió a nadie que
trabajase mientras el piquete estuvo allí.
En días posteriores la dueña del bar
interpuso una denuncia que meses más tarde, tras pasar el caso a
manos del fiscal, acabaría dando lugar a una “sentencia
ejemplarizante” por la cual el juez condenó a ambos a 3 años y
un día de cárcel por un “delito contra el derecho de los
trabajadores”. Ahora, el recurso interpuesto por Carlos y Carmen ha
sido desestimado por la Audiencia Provincial de Granada, ratificando
ésta la sentencia judicial condenatoria, basada únicamente en el
testimonio de la propietaria del bar, sin ningún otro testigo o
prueba.
Esta condena, como otras similares que
se están emitiendo a lo largo del país, se ubica dentro de un
contexto político de persecución y presión sobre los movimientos
sociales y de protesta: la Ley de Tasas judiciales, el proyecto de
Reforma del Código Penal, la nueva Ley de Seguridad Ciudadana y la
Ley de Seguridad Privada, etc.
El martes día 27 de Mayo de 2014 se ha
confirmado la sentencia de cárcel para Carlos y Carmen, que podrían
tener que ingresar en prisión en menos de 15 días.
Por ello, por la desproporción de la
sentencia y por las irregularidades del proceso penal; los abajo
firmantes, miembros de la comunidad universitaria y la profesión
médica a la cual Carlos pertenece:
- Rechazamos la absoluta desproporción de esta medida judicial “ejemplarizante”.
- Manifestamos nuestro apoyo unánime a Carlos y Carmen.
- Pedimos la absolución o indulto de ambos, en el menor plazo posible, por parte de los Tribunales competentes encargados de velar por la justicia.
